Everyone knows that an airplane needs two wings to fly properly. Without both wings operating at an optimal level then it will end up crashing. In the same way, the movement of what we call the Church has to have two wings as well. These two wings are healthy growth of existing churches and planting brand new churches. If those wings are not in place then the movement of God’s Kingdom will become stagnated.

ARISE 2033 PROGRESS
The COVID-19 pandemic slowed IPHC progress on church planting. Most churches were rightly focused on the health of their congregations, and church planters faced some unique challenges, navigating new guidelines for rental space, fewer people able or willing to try something new, and the difficulty of building and maintaining relationships using online platforms.
Trey Jones, presenting at the February 2022 Church Planters Intensive (CPI).
But as towns and cities began to open again, church planting picked up steam. Arise 2033, the IPHC’s church planting initiative, has provided a tangible goal–to see IPHC churches in 75% of US counties. Trey Jones, who has coordinated IPHC church planting since August 2021, is excited by what he’s seeing.
“We finished 2021 with 25 new churches launched, and our goal for 2022 is to launch 40 new churches,” Jones said. “Our goal is to create a church multiplication movement that includes church planting, multi-site multiplication, and house churches. The proven system we’re using—which includes personal coaching, ongoing training, and adequate funding—has a success rate better than 90%.”
According to Jones, the IPHC now has 46 active church plants across the US, from California to Rhode Island. (Rhode Island was one of two states without a single IPHC presence.) Evangelism USA’s church planting push, a component of Healthy, Growing, Multiplying (HGM) Churches strategy, which centers on identifying new leaders and developing their strengths, as well as coaching seasoned leaders as they move into new areas of ministry.

“We have identified 90 potential planters,” Jones said. “Fifty came to our last Church Planters Intensive, a free three-day training for planters, multi-site pastors, and mother church pastors. The planters heard from successful practitioners who taught them how to build a launch team, how to raise funds and how to launch strong and healthy so that the new church plant has sustainability built into it when it launches.”
Ongoing coaching plays an essential role in the planting process. In fact, Jones said that distinguishes the IPHC’s effort from other planting movements.
“Most movements coach to launch,” Jones said. “We coach through and beyond launch. We help new planters transition to the HGM Peer Coaching Groups, where they can build relationships with other pastors to help them grow and develop in pastoral health, systems, models, and leadership. Our planters are never left alone and isolated after launch.”
We heard from planters that coaching makes us unique among planting associations, so we have increased our number of coaches from 7 to 30.”
In response to the need, HGM has expanded its number of coaches from 7 to 30. These coaches help both new and experienced pastors grow, in online trainings as well as in-person events. The next live event will be Breaking Barriers, hosted by Compassion Church in Dickson, TN.

Healthy Growing Multiplying Churches
Arise 2033 Church Planting Movement
Josh Hannah, who has a Network of 25 churches, and has been an IPHC minister for years, started HGM Coaching Groups to help pastors reach the unchurched in their communities, increase volunteers and increase funding. In almost every conference of the IPHC we are seeing the most results we have ever seen! Our conference has been a part of this since 2019. There has been growth and even more important we have had over 30 different churches represented. We gather every month, whether by Zoom or in-person. If you would like more information, you can contact our Conference Representative, Tommie Smith, who pastors One City Church. He works with our Network Office to coordinate these events. We can provide coaching and help to your church.
Bishop A.D Beacham has been given a mandate from God to see a 75% increase in areas in where we have no IPHC church presence. This can only be accomplished by starting brand new churches. Jim Wall was appointed as the Church Planting Director for the IPHC in 2019. He formed a task force of 6 seasoned church planters to develop a system that was created by the IPHC, for the IPHC. The goal is to partner every church planter with a step by step process, a coach, a conference and a mother church. Our goal is to ensure healthy church plants. Freedom Church - Orange, VA
Greetings, we are Adam Schaffer and Marissa Caprio-Shaffer. We are the founding co-pastors of Freedom Church. We came to Redemption Ministries through our relationship with Cornerstone Church in Gordonsville, VA. We have benefited from the "mother-daughter" church planting model. Pastor Brett Cooper and Way church "adopted" our church. They have served as mentors and have financially invested in Freedom Church. During the pandemic we prayerfully decided to lease a building, remodel it, start an online church stream, build a children's church sanctuary, and reach out to our community. We have seen tremendous growth since Easter and our online audience is growing as well. Most importantly, we have seen many come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. We want to thank Pastor Brett Cooper who has been invaluable to us in our journey to plant Freedom Church. He has been a mentor, encourager and yet challenged us as he guided us every step of the way. Bishop Birt, in addition to setting up up with Pastor Brett, connected us to Pastor Leon Dunning (Salt Church), who provided us with sanctuary chairs. Bishop also helped us raise money and encouraged us along the way. There are not enough word s in the English language to convey our gratitude to the Conference and all those who stood alongside of us during this journey. We truly believe that thought we are living in perilous times, that the best is yet to come for His church. All of us at Freedom Church are excited to be part of a conference that is focused on the Great Commission.

NEWONE Church - Farmington, CT
Greetings! We are Tim and Cynthia Shone and we are the lead pastors of NEWONE Church. NEWONE is an exciting and brand new church located in Farmington, CT. We are truly blessed to be part of Redemption and the relationship we have formed with Bishop Dayton Birt has been valuable! We are extremely grateful for our mother church, Thrive Church and our coach, Pastor Kevin Bordeaux who has been phenomenal. His guidance and counsel have helped us through the process of church planting. In fact, the whole staff and team at Thrive have been a huge asset. Without them we would not have the tools and ability to finally have our Grand Opening service on October 3, 2021. This process has been 2 years in the making and with a lot of ups and downs. We are finally seeing all our perseverance pay off! Our desire is to create an international environment where people from all walks of life can gather and truly "belong before they believe". We want everyone to discover their true identity in Jesus. When you discover Jesus and you discover your impact, it helps you discover who you are and what you were created for. Our heart at NEWONE is for everyone to find God - the One who made them, and so they can live the life He called them to live.

The Promise - Alexandria, VA
We are Rolando and Francis Fajardo, church planters in the Washington, DC metro area. We have been married for 3 years and together we have walked in the calling of God for our lives. We first began as an evangelistic ministry where we preached in different churches both in the Metro DC area and other states of the US, such as North Carolina, Florida, and New Mexico. As a ministry, we have also hosted events such as revivals, youth seminars, retreats and local missionary events. Currently, we have been preaching and teaching for two years every Thursday at 12 pm on the Spanish Christian Radio Station, Radio Poder 10:30am in our program called "Cada Dia Mejor" or "Better Every Day". We characterize ourselves by doing the will of God and now God is calling us to plant, "The Promise Church" in Alexandria, VA. We characterize ourselves by doing the will of God and now God is calling us to plant, "The Promise Church" in Alexandria, VA. We are passionate about what we have been called to do and together have decided to believe in every promise that God has given us. Our desire is to transmit everything that God has given us to those we encounter in our community. We want to reach the new immigrant generations and children of immigrants that have not been able to feel part of a church because of the difference in culture, language, and the feeling of not fully belonging to the society they live in and the one their parents belong to. We believe that just as God has promises for us, He has promises and purposes for every single individual and it is our heart's desire to see very person walk in God's promises.
